The new shock fits and doesnt have the same chain clearance issues that I had with the R6 shock. I will need to drill out the holes in the bottom fork to match the 12mm bolt used in the rocker arm, or failing that get a spacer made for the bearing in the rocker arm.

The reason for choosing this shock was the fact that the reservoir sits much higher up, and as such would be well out of the way of the chain. The only issue now is that it occupies the space that the battery was going to sit. I am also going to need to put a lot of thought into how to mount the top of the shock to ensure that it is a) adequately braced and b) looks 'right' c) doesn't weigh as much as the rest of the bike put together.
